12/31/2021 - Happy New Year's Eve if you celebrate! Today I'm making some changes to links and such. I may also add some more info to my sidebar about fun things I enjoy. I am striving to make a mega cute site.
06/30/2023 - It's been such a loooong time and so much has changed in my life and in my mind so I'm hoping to take this site a different direction and now I feel I have a better vision for it anyways! :) I think the hardest part for me is going to be thinking up nice design ideas for the site because whenever I think of color combos it feels like I'm just making things up. I think for now I want to strive for a green-dominated pallette because I want to make this a more naturey feeling site.
One of my favorite things is the video game Okami! It has many
strong points but one of its best elements is its art style! It is very heavily based on japanese watercolor if I remember correctly.
Sadly, it was a commercial failure and the studio that produced the game went out of business shortly after its production.
Another thing I have found myself loving is the entirety of the Zelda series. It simply DOES something to my brain. It makes me want to draw and be part of a fantasy world where there is magic and stories about change and whatnot. I'm actually in the middle of a playthrough of twilight princess and it just has a sinister energy to it that I really enjoy. It is so different from the other games in terms of atmosphere and I think it really works for me. It reminds me of Fable just a bit.
